Chevrolet-Captiva-2010

Chevrolet Captiva plays a key role in company’s  global product portfolio. In India too Captiva scored decent numbers for  Chevrolet India since it’s inception here. Now Chevrolet is testing a face lifted version of  Captiva in  European roads. The test mule clearly tells 2010 Chevrolet Captiva is inspired by Aveo RS especially in the headlight and other elements in the front.  The finer details are yet to be known, but Chevrolet may have a  relook in the interior department as well.

The exact timeline of 2010 Chevrolet Captiva launch is not confirmed. Initial launch will happen in the USA then followed by other key markets. The looks of new Captiva looks sporty now and it was a much needed change in the current version. There is no other major changes in exterior except those happened in the front.

Now we have to watch out for official announcement from Chevrolet regarding the launch date. In India though Captiva present in a less crowded segment, the story will not be same for coming months. There are many other product launches expected, it includes Skoda Yeti, Force Motors New SUV, Tata Aria and Mahindra’s New SUV. So Chevrolet India may seriously consider the launch of 2010 Captiva in India too. Wait and watch guys.

Chevrolet Captiva is good buy in this segment. If you are in not in hurry to get Captiva you may wait for some time. Mahindra W201 may compete with Captiva.

I am using capitva sincee Sep 2008, Good comfort, posh interior, good milage till date i have done 48000 km. Since 6 months it devloped more noise in the engine when i consultated servce personal they never solved the problem finally it stopped on the highway this evening and now we are waitng to toe the vehicle to reach the workshop which is about 200 km.

My captiva is single driven well maintained by no use because of un trained technicians.

    * Lack of trained technicians in the workshop
    * Some say the engine is a failure
*No resale value in the market
