Fiat Palio India variant to get a facelift soon.We are more than happy to report this news. Our regular readers might have noted,Fiat Palio has undergone many facelift experience in many overseas markets in recent past.We were wondering why Fiat India is not so serious about their one of the oldest launch in India. Now the details about Fiat Palio Facelift is truly exciting to hear.

2010 Fiat Palio India

Fiat India is readying new Palio with engines to suit BS-IV norms, to be more specific Grande Punto power houses. The petrol engines, both 1.1ltr and 1.6ltr will get phased out by 1.2ltr FIRE and 1.4 FIRE engine respectively. The diesel engine, 1.3ltr Multi Jet will find place in  Palio facelift as it is already a BS-IV engine. The power and torque profile is at par (if not exceeding) with current Palio engines.

“Although the Palio has become an old model now, it continues to serve our strategic purpose of being the entry level model in our range, while complementing the Punto. It was, hence, essential to infuse some refreshments to the model to keep it under production,” said a senior executive from the company.

In addition to  powerhouse transplant Fiat Palio may get some mechanical changes as well. The dashboard and front grille will get a small revamp. The expected launch of Palio Facelift is in first quarter of 2010.We always believed that Palio has enough potential to score much higher sales volume than current 200-300 units level. Now Tata-Fiat join venture has  made some grass root level upgradation   of their sales and service network as well.So we can expect 2010 Fiat Palio India version will revive the sales in near future! So Palio Facelift can be yet another lucky mascot for Fiat India.
