Hyundai Verna Gets More Fuel Efficient Engine

Hyundai Verna is undergoing permutation and combination exercise.Recently we had reported that Hyundai is planning to launch a new Hyundai Accent/Verna in 2011.Now Hyundai went a step ahead and launched more fuel efficient version of Verna in U.S.The 2010 Hyundai Verna is packed with all standard features of the previous version plus a fuel efficient engine too.

This fuel efficient version of Hyundai Verna has been christened as Hyundai Verna Blue Edition.The Verna Blue Edition sports a low friction engine and improved aero dynamics structure to maximise the fuel economy by improving the air flow.The engine will be a 1.6ltr Petrol variant with 82Kw power and 144N-m  torque.The expected fuel economy of Verna Blue Edition is 12.8km/ltr combining both highway and city roads.

This outstanding level of fuel economy is achieved in manual transmission variant with the help of a special feature called “eco-shift indicator” which will guide the driver about the selection of gear combinations during driving.In Verna Autobox variant an “ eco-indicator” has been added to indicate the fuel efficiency at various points.

Ipod/USB Connection and Auxiliary ports, new steering wheel with integrated audio controls,back lit instrumentation cluster are all part of standard 2010 Hyundai Verna.Cruise Control,Sunroof and ABS are part of the premium edition offering.So let us wait and see Hyundai is planning to launch further update of Indian Hyundai Verna!
