Fiat Palio in India is taking its last breath.We agree the fact, Fiat Palio is a member of the underperformer league even after manufacturer contributed their best efforts to put it on success track.The sales report of the Palio is same almost every market it is present.This inspires irmaododecio to redesign the existing Palio with taking clues from Grande Punto.
The Palio based on Grande Punto looks are appealing like Punto especially the head lamps and front grille cluster.The 2011 Fiat Palio is looking more crispy and short in design.The honey comb mesh behind the grille, though it is big is adding spice to stunning look of 2011 Fiat Palio.We have an observation the rendered version of Palio is sharing striking similarities with it’s arch rival VW Polo.
The tail lamps of artist’s version of 2011 Palio is a 180 degree turn from current edition Palio.This tail lamp design looks more attractive and futuristic.The rear bumper intrudes into tail door territory but that does not look as a mismatched item there.The surprising factor of 2011 Fiat Palio is a black plastic section used to hide the under body area and rear axles.It becomes necessary as rear bumper has been placed well above the actual position.
We are impressed with this design at first sight.If you ask us we will give green signal to this Palio without a second thought.Meanwhile what stops Palio in India from succeeding in it’s mission? a bad engine?or boring looks? share your thoughts.

I agree George – this Palio looks much better than the current one.
The current Palio I think suffers from dated looks, perceptions of trouble with after sales service and also the old perception of poor mileage of petrols. The multijets I thought did fairly well – but people stay away because of the fear of trouble getting it serviced etc.

This makes me gloomy when some one says,’the Palio is written off in India”. Palio is a rare-machine, a rare-man’s choice, hence, it should be protected from extinction….! Ofcourse, the underpowered stile 1.1 did contribute to it’s lowering popularity, does not mean that Palio-lovers are left to mourn the Palio-burrial…..!
Fiat has a plenty of engine options to play with. Fiat-Uno, the small SUV-looking, 2010 be launched in India as soon as possible to fill the void. The FIAT-PANDA 4×4 will also satisfy the power hungry Palio-drivers, espacially well suited on the hilly terrians of J&K. At least, I could controll the power with ease, if Panda-4×4 with ABS is launched in Inia.
