Caught Naked:- 2011 Hyundai Verna/Accent Hatchback

 Hyundai Verna hatchback

Hyundai’s  fluidic sculpture themed 2011 Verna hatchback finally caught naked. This is the first hatchback  developed inline with Hyundai Sonata sedan styling. Like any other sedan – hatch combo  the overall design is same. The front grille and bumper design has got minor facelift compared to Verna Sedan which went on sale recently.

The front grille of Accent sedan is now  toned down to suite hatch’s front facia. The chromium garnishing is absent but that  is not that significant. In fact we love the new front grille concept of Hyundai Verna Hatch. The fog lamp and front bumper design looks similar to sedan. One major change we noticed is missing LED cluster in rear view mirrors, this could be an optional feature and may come when it is finally launched. Also the wheel design of Verna hatch is looking a good match to a hatchback’s characteristics.

Hyundai may plant a 1.4 ltr and  a 1.6ltr engine under the bonnet hood. The first engine can bring 107 hp at peak while the second engine will offer 122 hp on demand. Both engines can be meshed with both manual and auto gearboxes. The expected dimensions of 2011 Hyundai Hatch are 4.08 mtr X 1.70 mtr X 1.46 mtr (L x W x H) with wheelbase of 2.57 mtr which is common in its platform.

The Verna Hatchback may get a launch date first in China. This  may happen by next month (September 2010). Other markets will receive this stylish hatch later this year. Expecting Indian arrival ? no way ! atleast for two three years we don’t foresee it. Hyundai i20 is doing a better job here. If at all 2011 Hyundai Accent hatch lands here that could be the biggest surprise from Hyundai India.

We know you will be excited to know more about this hatch, so don’t forget to  subscribe to our daily updates. We will make sure that you won’t miss those interesting news.
