German trio (BMW, Audi and Mercedes) is trying their level best to maintain the supremacy in India’s luxury car segment. Just hours later Mercedes launched their latest C-Class saloon in Indian market, a Team-BHP member spotted this yet to be launched 2012 Audi A4 in Mumbai. The heavily camouflaged 2012 A4 test mule gives a clear indication that Audi is considering this model for Indian market along with international debut.
So what we can expect in 2012 Audi A4? The Audi A4 has been in business for the last four years and now it needs a refreshed face. The new A4 will have a revamped front grille and a pair of tapered headlights. The bumpers of 2012 Audi A4 have been redesigned to give a fresh look. The OVRMs as well under gone small design change. The conventional fog lamps have been replaced with LED studded fog lamps (The test mule was spotted earlier in Europe).
Under the hood, 2012 Audi A4 will have current 2.0ltr TDI and TSFI engines. The engine will get a manual gear box as standard and a Triptronic or Multitronic Transmission as an option. Even there are unconfirmed reports suggesting that Audi’s all new 3.0ltr Turbo charged engine will make it’s debut via 2012 Audi A4.
Audi may launch new A4 during Frankfurt Motor Show. In India we may get our first glimpse during 2012 New Delhi Auto Expo.
