2012 Chevrolet Aveo hatchback is getting ready to receive it’s boot attached version. Though it was speculated much before, here is the first appearance of this upcoming sedan from Chevrolet stable. Chevrolet Aveo hatchback made it’s debut during just concluded Paris Motor Show. Weeks later it’s sedan variant too posed for spy photographers. The patent drawings of the Aveo were leaked much before and the test mule proves that those sketches were genuine!. Chevrolet Aveo hatchback – sedan combo may face tough competition from Ford Fiesta Hatchback – Sedan combo in home land.
2012 Chevrolet Aveo will be made on GM’s Global Gamma II chassis and will be powered by a 1.4 and a 1.6 petrol engine. The power output may vary between 100 to 115 horsepower. The engine will be coupled to a six speed autobox which could be first among Chevrolet’s small car portfolio. The dashboard and interiors may be a toned down version of Chevrolet Cruze dashboard and interior. Chevrolet may launch these two models in the United States initially and other markets will receive it later. We expect the 2012 Aveo will replace Chevrolet India’s ailing warrior Chevrolet U-VA by second half of 2012.
Though the looks of test mule featured in the images are plain and simple, we think it’s going to be another winner of Chevrolet in coming years, especially in markets like India, China, Brazil. This new Aveo hatch and sedan combo may become very important products for Chevrolet in the US to regain their lost glory in coming days.
