2012 Honda Civic launch has become a hot topic among auto enthusiasts. Recently we covered many articles about this upcoming Japanese sedan, including spy video, spy images and renderings. Today we have two more projections of 2012 Honda Civic. Autosport has published these renderings of 2012 Civic taking cue from spy shots of it’s test mule. Ninth generation Honda Civic may not bring any surprises in design front, will continue with out going models overall design but with minor tweaks in front and rear.
Out of various renderings of 2012 Civic this version got most stylish front fascia. The front grille is reminiscent of the younger brother Honda City. According to these renderings, new Civic will have a lower air intake and narrower fog lamps. The trunk lid has been designed to maximise space utilization there. The license plate will get a chrome strip decoration.
The cockpit could be the most attractive element in 2012 Honda Civic. The double level dashboard will have a huge tachometer in the down level while other elements like speedometer, fuel gauge, engine temperature monitor will be placed in the top level. Honda may bring 1.8 16V i-VTEC engine which can develop 140 hp in new Honda Civic. This engine will get company of various transmission options including a five speed auto box.
Honda Civic is facing strong opposition from various products in different markets. The competition has forced Honda Civic to pull back from Japanese market and situation is not different in many other markets. Honda will be launching new Civic in home country first, by mid of 2011.
