Spied:- 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe with zero camouflages (updated with one more image)

It is not a secret that Hyundai is working on  an all new Santa Fe. The new 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe is not just facelift but a ground up design. Many blogs including us have already published  camouflaged new Santa Fe in the past. But here we have two zero camouflaged images of  2013 Hyundai Santa Fe crossover. The new Santa Fe  (also known as Hyundai ix45) and i20 are the remaining Hyundai models to be redesigned. The SUV comes with Hyundai’s Fluidic Sculpture design language which we have already seen in earlier models like  Sonata, Verna and Azera.

The front fascia of the car looks stunning, the chromium coated grille looks similar to Sonata sedan. This is the first time we are seeing 2013  Santa Fe with chrome grill, the test mules were fitted with matt finish grill. The headlights and fog lamp clusters are bringing new look to outgoing Santa Fe. In the rear, 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe is strikingly similar to Kia Veracruz. The rear end of New Santa Fe looks matured like any other German SUVs. The spoiler adds sportiness to the vehicle’s rear end. The design of D-pillar looks unique the tail gate design has been done to maximize luggage space.

Under the hood, Hyundai is expected to plant  a  2.0ltr petrol engine and a 2.2ltr CRDi Turbo engine. The petrol engine is expected to develop  274 hp peak power  and 364 Nm torque. The diesel sipping power plant will deliver 194 hp power and 420 NM peak torque. The engine specifications may vary according to the market requirements.

New Hyundai Santa Fe is expected to debut in New York Auto Show scheduled to begin in April – 2012. In India Hyundai Santa Fe has been introduced in 2010 and enjoys a decent market share. Company assembles the vehicle in their Chennai plant from  CKD kits brought from their overseas plant. We think after the global debut, Hyundai may bring new Santa Fe to our market as well. The launch may happen by end of this year or early next year. This is yet to be confirmed by Hyundai India.
