Audi A5 Sportback Unveiled

Audi A5 Sportback edition  was in news for some time now.Audi had shown the Sportback model of A5 before a month to selected auto journalists.Last week Audi officially launched the Audi A5 Sportback in Germany.With this launch now Audi A5 is available in three variants namely  Coupe,Cabrio and Sportback.

Audi A5 does not have some thing very exciting  to mention except engine choices.But Sportback variant become some thing that blends between a coupe, sedan and station wagon.The power house choice is great now A5 Sport has been launched with six engine variants, three gasoline and diesel each.Three more choice of engine will be launched by next year.

The Audi A5 Sportback’s gasoline engine units include the 2.0-ltr TFSI delivering 180 kW (132 kW) or 211 hp (155 kW) and the 3.2-ltr V6 with a 265 hp (195 kW) output. Diesel choices include the 2.0 TDI which delivers 170 hp (125 kW) and achieves a fuel consumption of 5.2 ltr/100 km (45 US mpg), a 190 hp (140 kW) 2.7-ltr TDI and the 3.0 TDI unit which produces 240 hp (176 kW).All engines are compliant to Euro-V emission norms.Audi A5 Sportback all variants comes with  recuperation system that will recover and temporarily store energy during breaking and deceleration.

Audi A5 Sportback gasoline  variants and 3.0ltr TDI variant are coming with all wheel drive system with new sport differential drive.This drive will ensure proper distribution of drive among rear wheels.The lower diesel engine variants are coming with Electronic Stability Program that will ensure better stability during driving.If you are not yet subscribed to  wheelosphere do it right now.
