Pulsar 135 CC LS, the younger sibling of Pulsar launched in New Delhi. Our readers received last update about Pulsar 135 LS with great pleasure. That post was revealed the overall design aspects of this small Pulsar.Pulsar has been a lucky charm for Bajaj and it seems they want have maximum advantage out of this feel good factor.Back to our main story, Bajaj has been priced Pulsar 135CC LS aggressively, the new entrant from Bajaj family sports Rs.51,000 price tag(ex-showroom New Delhi).
Pulsar 135CC LS is powered by a single cylinder four stroke four valve engine, a World first. This engine employs Bajaj’s patented ExhausTEC technology, company claims this will ensure smoother ride in slow speeds. The engine can deliver 13.5PS peak power at 9000 rpm and peak torque of 11Nm at 7000 rpm.A five speed gearbox is mated with this engine.Other major features include maintenance free battery, alloy wheels and LED studded tail lamps.
“The Pulsar brand has been strongly associated with creating the sports segment in this country and our vision is to make India a country of bikers from a country of commuters” said S Sridhar, CEO, 2-wheelers, Bajaj Auto.Company says the Pulsar 135 LS ownership experience will be enjoyable with help of other conveniences like a digital speedometer, electric start, step seat and nitrogen filled shock absorbers.
Our take:-
In first glimpse the 135cc Pulsar looks like rebirth of Bajaj XCD 125.But the major capability of this bike is a power to weight ratio which is better than other 150CC warriors in the market. The pricing is very aggressive and can do wonders for Bajaj. So lots of good points, but we expect some thing altogether different from Bajaj, so our wait is still on.Interestingly the date and location of Pulsar 135cc LS launch is worth to note.Honda is planning to launch their Twister 110CC CB tomorrow so comeback for more updates on this story.
