VW Beetle, finally started bugging it’s Indian lovers. After multiple re-scheduling VW launched their iconic car Beetle in India on 4th of this month. The price was discussion topic then, some one said it is too pricey but other said it is in line with Beetle’s iconic image. Let discussion take it’s own route. Just after two weeks after VW Beetle launch, this small beauty could secure 170 units booking in India.
By seeing the grand welcome for Beetle, VW is foreseeing a sale of 300 units next year. Now Beetle is landing in India through Completely Built Unity(CBU) route, this makes Beetle costlier as VW has to pay 100 percent excise duty. The Beetle is powered by a powerful 2.0ltr petrol engine with six speed auto box. Beetle attracts a price tag of over Rs.20lacs according to the city of purchase.
VW had a good opening spell in India. They are gearing up for the launch of their first hatch back Polo in India.
