Autocar India reports that BMW is working on a cheaper version of the highly successful 3-series taking the car to a wider audience. The model, called ‘Executive’ will be exclusively available to fleet operators at a price tag of approx 24lakhs! At this price, it will lose some key features but at this price, it is a steal!
The Executive 3 will miss out on features like sunroof, power adjustment for the seats, cup holders and few more luxuries. A 6lakh reduction in price would bring it in direct competition with the Toyota Camry and Skoda Superb and for the brand value that BMW holds, we certainly feel that the BMW 3series will be the eventual winner. The mode in perspective is the brilliant 320d with a gem of an engine.
