We would like to tell our readers that over four 458 Italias have burned down over the last few months. The sudden rise in engine fire cases has prompted Ferrari to undertake an investigation into the issue. Eventually, Ferrari have found the fault to be on their side and have issued an official recall of the 458 Italia.
Ferrari say that an adhesive used to attach a heat shield under the rear fender can ignite under high temperatures, leading to a larger fire in the engine bay. Ferrari has designed a new heat shield that attaches with rivets, negating the need for the adhesive. All 458 owners are requested to contact their nearest dealerships to get their 458 fixed for free.
