Today Chevrolet India gave a feature rich small car to Indian customers, same time they are going to disturb the game plan of Hyundai and Maruti. The base model, Chevrolet Beat PS is priced at Rs. 3.34lacs(ex-showroom New Delhi). That is quiet unbeatable pricing.
Other two variants are LS and LT coming with additional goodies at an extra cost. While Chevrolet Beat LS comes at Rs.3.54, you will get factory fitted power windows and extra spoilers. The top end model, Chevrolet Beat LT, is packed with features like climate control, factory fitted music system and optional air bags. Beat LT is priced at Rs.3.94lacs. And if you opt for additional safety of air bags you may have to shell out Rs.40,000 extra. Thus the final price comes to Rs.4.34 lacs.
All variants of Beat are powered by a 1.2 ltr petrol engine, this engine can easily churn out 70PS at peak. A diesel variant will follow in due course of time. So Beat has set a benchmark for other small car manufacturers, interms of pricing. It comes approximately Rs.50,000 cheaper than Hyundai I10 and Maruti Suzuki Ritz, let us wait and see how others will respond to the Beat ..
