Chevrolet Cruze Comes Closer To India

Chevrolet Cruze India launch could be the next big thing  going to happen in India sedan market.Prospective sedan buyers are eagerly waiting for formal launch of Chevrolet Cruze in India.Cruze had made appearance in many occasions in Indian roads before.General Motors India also banking high on this compact sedan,as they are unable to maintain the grip in Indian family sedan segment which is ruled by Maruti,Tata and Mahindra.

Chevrolet Cruze launch is expected by this September,only few days remaining if the timeline has not got altered further.Ahead of Cruze India  launch many other market have got Cruze treatment.Last week GM announced the launch of Cruze in Singapore.

Chevrolet Cruze Specifications and Details.

Cruze now coming in two variants atleast in Singapore.One 1.6ltr  and another 1.8ltr petrol engines.The first engine is able to develop maximum 107hp while the second can crank out 140hp.The front suspensions are fitted with McPherson struts while rear got torsion beam axle arrangement.Cruze is available with another transmission option as well.This third option shares same 1.8ltr engine but the drive line designed to give 176Nm at peak.This variant will take you to 100km/hr from stand still within 10seconds.

The Cruze is big enough to accommodate anything you carry,the dimensions measures 4597 mm long, 1788 mm wide and 1477 mm.The wheel base is 2685mm and Cruze is equipped with ESP and ABS by default.The drive options includes five speed manual and a six speed automatic gearbox.But the pricing of Cruze in Singapore looks in higher side,Cruze base variant comes with a price tag little over Rs.18lacs.For sure that pricing strategy may not work in India.This fact even Chevrolet too will agree.So let us wait and watch were Chevrolet will compromise on features or quality of components or profit?Will Cruze can churn out some quick numbers for GM India?
