Ferrari World opens in Abu Dhabi

ferrari-world-abu-dhabi-opening

We have been closely monitoring the developments taking place at the Ferrari World, Abu Dhabi theme park and we are delighted to say that the park has finally been thrown open to the public. If you wish to experience the Ferrari brand and find getting access to Ferrari’s facility a bit difficult, we suggest you head over to the theme park instead. You will be treated to the best brand experience of Ferrari in addition to fun rides and a motorsport experience. When we say motorsport, we mean it – a ride in Ferrari’s 250km/h rollercoaster (acceleration : 0-100km/h in 2sec flat; 1.7g) will tell you what the sport is all about.

The park itself is modeled to mimic the side profile of a Ferrari GT car and the indoor complex is covered by one of the largest man made roof ever covering 200,000 square metres (2,200,000 sq ft) with a perimeter of 2,200 metres (7,200ft). The roof itself is 160 feet high and it sports the largest prancing horse logo ever made in the history of mankind. The logo covers 86,000 square metres (930,000 sq ft) of space. That massive roof, an engineering triumph in itself encompasses what is the world’s largest indoor park.

The park contains all sorts of rides and attractions that you can possibly imagine from 3D movie theatres and a ride that takes you through the working and internals of a V12 engine. If you find that too serious, why not take a leisurely drive in a Ferrari 250 California Spyder through an exhibit that shows you the best of Italy or why not teach your kids to drive Junior Grand Prix cars? For the full list of rides and pictures, check out our special features here. Our picture tour takes you through the entire park. Check it here.

The price for all this fun? Just US$ 60 per person.
