US F1 have finally admitted that they will not be able to take part in the 2010 F1 season. “The US F1 Team have indicated that they will not be in a position to participate in the 2010 FIA Formula One World Championship,” said the FIA in a statement. US F1 are said to have miscalculated the funds required to participate in the 2010 season. You can read our detailed reports by clicking on the links below.
This would have excited Stefan GP who have already sent their containers to Bahrain and Malaysia hoping that they would get the nod to participate in the 2010 season but the FIA seems to have other ideas. FIA has denied the Serbian team a place in the 2010 grid after they felt that welcoming a new team at this stage would be unfair. “Having considered the various options, the FIA confirms that it is not possible for a replacement team to be entered for the championship at this late stage.” However, the FIA agreed to open the registrations for the 2011 season. “In the coming days the FIA will announce details of a new selection process to identify candidates to fill any vacancies existing at the start of the 2011 season.”
