Grande Punto has been consistently scoring good sales volume for Fiat in world market. In India too Grande Punto is doing well, thanks to Fiat India’s sensible pricing. Now Fiat is planning to further sharpen Grande Punto’s edge in Global market. Fiat is planning to launch Punto with new 1.6ltr 16V Tritec engine. Fiat is enjoying the success of Punto Evo in almost all market it is present.
Fiat Grande Punto 1.6ltr 16V Tritec version will hit road by 2010 March, probably in Italy. Then other international markets launch will follow. The 1.6 ltr 16V Tritec engine will develop 125hp power at peak and will return better fuel efficiency as well. Fiat Punto will be the first model to use this newly developed engine. So Fiat will be telling good bye for the 1.8ltr Flex engine manufactured by GM.
