Thanks to our eagle eyed reader Deepak, for snapping Force Motors upcoming MPV which is based on their light commercial vehicle Trump. Last year Force Motors had launched their mini truck Trump across India but we don’t think it managed to impress customers. Force Motors must be exploring the possibilities of extending Trump platform further by developing a passenger version on it. The upcoming passenger version of Trump will be called Force Motors Trip.
Deepak explains the features he noticed while snapping this test mule,
- The cabin is being carried forward from their Trump.
- The build quality is not so impressive, there are plenty of uneven gaps between body panels ( the image explains it).
- The engine is rear mounted like Force Motors Minidor.
- There were three rows of seats (including driver and co-driver seats)
- Sufficient storage space available for material storage.
- The passenger version of Trump will be called Force Motors Trip (good selection)
- The test mule looks like a finished one with stickers and graphics.
- The unit which caught is of soft top, a hard top version may follow.
- Force Motors Trip could be sharing the engine with it’s cargo sibling.
Recently Force Motors had announced the departure of their Minidor auto rickshaw which served the company for long 15 years. During the announcement top officials from Force Motors said, “though we are exiting from this segment, we will look at it later”. So can we expect Trip will be the replacement for Minidor ?
