Ford Fiesta Automatic will make it’s Indian debut on 28th February. New Ford Fiesta has been in India for almost an year now. But Fiesta could not make much impact in Indian C-segment where Honda City, Hyundai Verna and VW Vento rule the charts. Fiesta AT will get a 1.5ltr petrol engine coupled with a six speed dual clutch gearbox. A diesel sipping Fiesta Automatic will remain as dream for now.
Ford Fiesta, with it’s exceptional styling and features is head turner in our market. But it failed to cheer Indian sedan buyers. Remember both Fiesta and Figo comes from same company. While latter is still continues to perform well in the hatchback market, former is still struggling to make a foot hold. What went wrong with Ford Fiesta..? We think pricing spoiled Fiesta’s future in our market and Ford India needs to come up with serious efforts to make it competitive.
