We have a set of first images of upcoming Mini SUV from Ford. The test mule was caught by spy photographer is based on Ford’s Fiesta platform. Fiesta and this new SUV will share many components including engines. Currently only very limited information are available about this baby SUV.
The body elements are clearly indicating this baby SUV’s relation to Ford Fiesta hatchback, especially the nose and tail end. Ford may plant a 1.6 liter petrol and a 1.6 liter TDCi diesel under bonnet hood of this SUV.
Ford Fiesta SUV may get launched in Europe first, the timelines are still not revealed. Ford may unveil their new baby in 2012.
We know another Baby SUV is in pipeline, from Chevrolet. Chevrolet has started testing a Mini SUV based on their Aveo hatchback platform.
Back to our home market, India is no more just another market for Ford. Ford India has been made a come back with the launch of Figo and planning to launch all new Fiesta here.
