Ford Figo is the latest arrival in Small car segment.Ford India Small car was one of the most awaited car launch since 2007.Finally it happened but not completely,today Ford officially previewed this small car for media,but full details are yet to known.We had chased this story since long time and had reported before too.
The formal commercial launch of Ford Figo will happen in first quarter of 2010.The design and styling of Figo shows it’s direct relationship to Ford family.The Figo have got more resemblance to 500Ford’s live saver in Europe Ford Fiesta Hatchback.The headlamps and bold and big front grille adding a big car image to Ford India’s new small car.
The available images shows the availability of body coloured door handles and OVRMS.The bottom half of the front grille (though looks bigger) is one of the distraction from the front.The bottom grille mesh looks coarser than required.The upper portion of front grille is exactly similar to European Ford Fiesta.The rear portion of Figo is like Ford Fusion,it is pretty and clean.The tail lamps are now reaching the roof and blend of all functionaries.
The body line of Ford Figo is not exactly that of a small car.It is big indeed.The B-Pillar is integral part of window pane. The overall package of Ford Figo is impressive and can definitely contribute in large extend to Ford India’s existence itself.Ford is aiming to take this cool Figo to many other Asia Pacific and Latin American countries as well.Stay tuned for further updates.

All Ford cars (Mondeo, Fiesta, Ikon..) in India have a common problem though. By the time they introduce a car, the design is already obsolete by 5 or 10 years. Also, they all have a pretty flat classic sedan designing rather than aero dynamic ones. This one is a lot better.
Btw, I heard they are going to roll out Fiesta in the US market by next year.
Ford Figo (if placed in right price bracket) is going to be a hit.Ford is actually planning to launch hatch back version of Fiesta in U.S market, which is already in European markets.

Thanks for stopping at Wheelosphere and commenting. We believe that Ford Figo is the best value for money hatch available hatch at this moment. The sales figures of Ford Figo prove that.
It is quiet natural that every individual give a different opinion. But at end of the day you are the decision maker. So go ahead and have a test drive and make a go or no go decision.
