The models as per our predictions could be the new European Fiesta based hatchback and sedan followed by the Focus. The Focus has been in consideration for a long time now and going by recent success of the segment, Ford would be tempted to import CKD kits from Philippines. The Endeavour, receiving quite a beating from Fortuner will come back in the form of an all new model in 2012. There are also talks of a small SUV and MPV based on the European Fiesta platform for India. If these models do make it, then Ford will have a strong lineup in the sub-Rs 10 lakh segment in India.

Joe Hinrichs, president of Ford Asia Pacific and Africa, said

“We have big plans for India and for this region,”. “By the middle of this decade we will introduce eight new vehicles to India,”
