Hero Honda Karizma ZMR is the latest offering from world’s largest two manufacturer’s contribution to Indian performance biking segment. The Karizma ZMR as expected fitted with Honda’s Programmed Fuel Injection(PGM-FI) system which will yield better fuel economy compared to Carburettor version.
Karizma ZMR is powered by 223cc engine with excellent power and torque figures. The peak power of Karizma PGM-FI is 17.6bhp at 7000rpm and maximum torque is 18.4N-m at 6000rpm.We were expecting Hero Honda Karizma ZMR will definitely give a serious competition to recently launched Bajaj Pulsar, but Karizma 223cc’s maximum speed is 135km/hr which is too less compared to Bajaj Pulsar.
Hero Honda Karizma ZMR is fully packed with sensors to monitor each parameter of the engine performance.New Karizma engine is oil cooled and coupled with a five speed gear box.The front suspension is conventional oil filled telescopic forks and rear shock absorbers are adjustable gas filled pair. The curb weight is 159kgs though it is not good news for those who are looking for fuel economy.
Both front and rear brakes are equipped with disc brakes with minor change in dimensions. The head lamp cluster looks now more attractive and sharp eventhough it got some similarities with Suzuki GSR 150.The instrumentation looks decent and neatly organized. The body of Karizma ZMR is full of cosmetic elements and nice graphics.
New Karizma ZMR is available in five shades Blue, White, Yellow, Red and Black. The ex-showroom price of Karizma ZMR is Rs.91,000 at New Delhi. It is season of pricey bikes launches in India and even Hero Honda does not want to be away from the gang, so let us wait and see how many will accept this New Karizma avatar!
