Heo Honda is now no more! Erstwhile Hero Honda now become Hero MotoCorp officially. Amidst of much fan fare Hero MotoCorp unveiled their new logo in London’s O2 arena. Along with the new logo, Hero group unveiled two new products and company’s future plans. Hero MotoCorp unveiled an all new four stroke called Maestro, a “masculine” scooter aimed to attract young crowd. The other product is an “on road-off road” motorcycle, the Impulse.
Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir kapoor will be Hero MotoCorp’s new brand ambassador. Hero MotoCorp will commission three plants in near future, the first one will come up in Rajasthan and the second one in southern part of India. A third export oriented plant will come up in western India. Company has already identified thirty potential overseas market across south-east Asia, Africa and Latin/Central America to take own their old friend Honda.
Hero MotoCorp Maestro scooter will be powered by a four stroke single cylinder engine which develops 9.1 N/m power at 5500rpm. The top speed could be 155 Km/hr.
Highlights of the other product, Hero MotoCorp Impulse are-
- A dual purpose bike
- High torque engine
- Large drum front brake
- Highly mounted muffler
- Nitro gas mono suspension at rear
- Motocross seat
Company has not disclosed the prices and exact launch details of the products stay tuned for more updates.
