Honda CB Twister 110CC, the commuter bike offering from Honda Motorcycles and Scooter India Ltd(HMSI) finally seen day light in Indian market.Though we expected CB Twister in upcoming 2010 Auto Expo, it was launched approximately one month before that.Honda Twister comes with sharp styling and a well received Honda technology. The expected price of Honda Twister is Rs.42,000(ex-showroom New Delhi).
The most attractive feature of Honda Twister is it’s styling, it has roots from Honda’s super bike like CB 1000R.The fuel tank is fitted with fibre cowls for enhancing the styling and aerodynamics, like Honda Stunner. The instrument panel is analogue again, like other Honda breeds in India. The front cowl is similar to Honda Unicorn in terms of structure. But the curves and lines of Twister is attractive than it’s big brother. The fuel tank can hold 9ltr petrol.
The front wheel equipped with 240mm disc brake,so we can expect better braking effects during different riding conditions.Honda has been fitted tubeless tyres in both front and rear wheels.Alloy wheels are also part of Honda Twister.
The 110CC (BS-III) engine will develop 9.0bhp at peak with 70km/ltr.Remember if HMSI promise 70km/ltr, we will get at least 65km/ltr.The history says this. The engine exhaust assembly is another styling element,it comes with an additional metal sheet cover. The chain cover has taken a different route, the full cover has been given way for half chain cover. The battery is now maintenance free which will give you lesser trouble in long run.
Honda CB Twister 110CC will be in dealerships by February 2010.
