Honda’s premium hatch back Jazz is about to get a more feature packed variant. The new variant called, Jazz X will be launched tomorrow. So what’s new in Jazz with X-factor? Not much, some essential requirements of a premium hatch finally find a place in Jazz’s feature list this time. The new Honda Jazz X will be available in a new shade, blood red, across all variants. The Jazz X will be running a set of gray shaded alloy wheels and will get fog lamp, both are as per us very basic requirement of a hatch where Honda Jazz is present.
Jazz X seats are the most important attraction, the sportier seats can accommodate the passenger very well now. The overall shape of the seat will give better comfort during long trips. The music system is more jazzier now, it comes with an USB port and got the capability to interact with an I-pod. Other than these small changes, the rear got a shelf partition to store luggage and height adjustable driver seat. The front and rear mud guards are coming as part of standard equipment with Jazz X. The 1.2ltr i-VTEC engine will continue it’s duty in Jazz X too.
Looking at new features that are expected to come in Honda Jazz X, one can easily point out that there is not much exciting changes and additions. But the addition of goodies will definitely take the prices up by some thousands. Honda Jazz is overpriced considering Indian market requirements and other products present here. While Honda repeatedly justifying the Jazz prices, the customer’s thinking is crystal clear, compare the sales figures of all new Honda City and Honda Jazz. Right from the launch Honda City consistently scoring couple of thousands of monthly sale while Jazz struggling to go beyond 300 units. We really don’t think there is a need of a new Jazz X variant without an attractive price tag. Do share your opinion.
