Honda is planning to extend their portfolio to Indian commuter bike segment.Though there were reports suggesting that Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India(HMSI) will be launching a 100cc bike in Auto Expo 2010 we were bit sceptical about this.Now here comes the first images of Honda Twister 110CC commuter bike which captured during testing.
If you are still doubtful about the authenticity of these images have a close look on petrol tank where the prominent Honda wings logo has been managed to find a place.Also the brand, Honda Twister name has been christened on the utility box area.Honda Twister is combination of Hero Honda Hunk and Honda Stunner.The front portion till fuel tank reminds us about Hunk but the rear part shows Honda has just kept the rear department of Stunner CBF intact.
The styling of Honda Twister is much more than the requirement of a commuter segment bike.The headlamp cover(in side view) is similar to Honda Unicorn.The disc brake and alloy wheels are another surprise entry.But one thing that caught our attention due to it’s absence is rear grab rail.Some times it may come in final version of Twister 110cc.The clear lens turn indicator and oil filled shock absorbers are further enhancing the styling of Twister.
One word of caution, don’t be so excited about Honda Twister and it’s styling.Top officials of HMSI has already said that Twister will not be a low cost bike rather it is a style statement bike with lots of sports DNA.We do agree Honda Twister has got a lot of sport elements, now wait for the announcement about the price of Honda Twister.
But still we have a small doubt in our mind, the bike rider looks like it undergoing evaluation test ride by any bike magazine.But yet again the power house size tells us it is a 110CC bike, so lot of confusions to be cleared.

We expect the new Twister in New Delhi show rooms by February second week. HMSI already started production of CB Twister, so there is chance of early arrival as well.

We think CB Twister is attractively priced. Though Honda products are known for their quality we suggest you to wait for some more time (if you can) so that let them prove themselves on our roads.

Honda Twister looks promising interms of styling and fuel efficiency. The overall ownership experience of Honda bikes are superior to it’s competition.
