Hyundai Eon LPG + 3 more new variants launched

Hyundai Eon, the Maruti Alto killer sub-compact finally became more aggressive now. Hyundai Eon is now available in three more variants in addition to a LPG powered variants. This move is a clear indication that Hyundai Motors is not satisfied with current sales performance of Eon. The three new variants of Hyundai Eon are D-Lite +, Era + and Magna +. The base model is priced at Rs 2.98 lakh while other two variants are priced at Rs. 3.12 lakh and Rs.3.42 lakh respectively (all prices are ex-showroom New Delhi). Hyundai Eon LPG option is available in all three variants at an additional cost of Rs. 27,000.

Hyundai D-Lite+ now comes with air conditioning, power steering, gift shift indicator and body colored bumpers. The current entry level variant of Hyundai Eon (D-Lite) is priced at Rs.2.90 lakhs. D-Lite comes with air conditioning system while D-Lite+ variant gets power steering, gift shift indicator and body colored bumpers as extra. The second variant, Era + will get front power windows and central locking as extras to D-Lite+ variant. The Magna+ comes with a 2-Din audio system with USB, Aux and many other small features. The Eon Magna+ is placed below Eon Magna (O) variant.

Hyundai Eon LPG tank has a capacity of 34 liters and has been placed intelligently to protect boot space. The petrol tank is addition to the petrol tank (32 ltrs). The Hyundai eon LPG kit comes with 2 years warranty. The fully filled Eon LPG can clock 1,200 kilometers (petrol plus LPG).

With the launch of these new variant it is evident that Hyundai wants to intensify their attack on Maruti Alto. To be honest, now Hyundai Eon looks a very tempting offering especially the Hyundai Eon LPG variants. The Hyundai Eon D-Lite+ is priced in territory of Alto LXi variant comes with body colored bumpers which becomes a differentiator. Anyways we are sure Maruti will not take this move lightly and will come up with a fitting answer very soon.
