Hyundai i10 Turns Football Car In The UK

Hyundai i10 Football Car In UK

Hyundai is one of the official sponsors of 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. Hyundai is  exploring all possibilities to reap maximum benefits from this  event. Few days before Hyundai had launched a range of special edition  i10 and i20 in Europe. In continuation to this Hyundai created two unique i10 cars for promoting this event in England. This time it is a very unique concept, in which Hyundai i10 cars turn footballs.

These two Hyundai i10 Football cars have been created by Andy Saunders, who is known for many masterpiece custom cars. The body of cars have been covered with artificial turf lines and have been marked “the club that any gardener would be proud.” The roof of these special i10 houses one huge football each measures 1.5mtr diameter. While the driver applies brake it  will  enter the arc. A pair of hand gloves and boots has been replaced the rear view mirrors. A set of four small footballs form the wheel caps.

The interiors have two option, the first one which matches the grass shade of exteriors while second sport a football theme with head rests as footballs. There is a very interesting story behind these i10s. They were damaged  in exteriors during shooting of DVD ‘Duel’ by Jeremy Clarkson. Instead of repairing and selling them to a customer Hyundai decided to use these small cars for this promotional event. The dents in body have been covered by green grass!

Hyundai will display these special football i10 across the UK in coming days. Overall a great concept, there is no better way to attract football crazy crowds of the UK.
