Hyundai I20 is a slow poisoning beauty. In India since it’s launch in last December number of I20 we are spotting on roads is gradually increasing day by day.The numbers were small in initial days and it collected pace after Hyundai adding more engine variants including diesel option.Hyundai does not want to limit the capability of the beautiful hatch there, they are ready with MPV version of I20 too.
A concept image of Hyundai I20 MPV has been published by Autoweek and they say it has got striking similarities with Kia Venga.Hyundai has taken clues from their own Kia Venga, which debuted in last Frankfurt Motor Show. The available images suggests I20 MPV is different from Kia Venga only interms of the front grille styling.Hyundai I-20 MPV brings lots of spaces in passenger compartments, though the elevated floor panel eats luggage trunk space. The power houses and transmissions of MPV version will be borrowed from hatchback version.
To cut it short, we would love to see this beautiful MPV in Indian roads too! let us wait and watch whether I-20 MPV will find a place in Hyundai’s product menu.
The public appearance of I20 MPV will happen in upcoming Geneva Motor Show scheduled to start in March 2010.Stick to us for further updates!

why would you be waiting for it on indian roads? is there a niche open for this as of now? answer is no. this is purely a european market model and i personally don’t see sense in it being sold in india.
@ Avinash,
You have got a point there Hyundai i20 MPV may prove costly. But do remember that i20 hatchback was also said to be costly in India. But now Hyundai proved that belief was wrong. We can wait and see what’s there in pipeline.
