J.D. Power Asia Pacific 2009 India Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI) Study results are out,and Maruti leads the pack in very close margin.One more interesting trend discovered by 2009 J.D. Power Asia Pacific India Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI) Study is the overall index is shows increasing trend.That gives a good news for both manufactures,dealers and customers.
J.D.Power SSI 2009 average index is 793 out of 1000,with an increment of 26 points in last years score.Maruti Suzuki scored 800 out of 1000,Honda and Toyota shares the second place with just only one point difference.Hyundai with 796 points stood at third position,they have recorded surprising improvement compared to last years performance.Mahindra the only Indian member in the the manufactures who surpasses industry average is sharing fourth position with Skoda Auto.For detailed score of all other manufacturers please refer the graph below.
“Having a customer-driven team at the dealership is a key ingredient not only for creating favourable initial impressions about the dealership, but also for driving greater advocacy and loyalty toward the brand.” said Mohit Arora,Sr.Director at J.D. Power Asia Pacific, Singapore.
This study also reveals another interesting aspect of Indian sub compact car buyers.They are willing to pay cash for the their car.Last year 27% of the customers were able to purchase their car with hard cash,this year it has risen to 40%.J.D.Power SSI 2009 respondents say another fact 6% of the sample says the dealerships are not stocking all variants of the car of their choice.
This years J.D. Power Asia Pacific India Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI) Study conducted after interviewing 5,422 new-vehicle owners who purchased their vehicles between September 2008 and April 2009.
