Kawasaki will be launching the Ninja 650R in India next month. The teaser of the Kawasaki Ninja 650R is up and online on company’s website. Ninja 650R will land in India on 8th June 2011. Kawasaki this time cannot price the bike premium as much as it wants, like it did for the Ninja 250R. The reason is that this time a competitively priced Hyosung GT650R is already here.
Still people would definitely opt for Kawasaki Ninja 650R, as Japanese means better quality machine with better component qualities. Kawasaki can will surely price it above Hyosung GT650R, but it won’t be a difference like the Ninja 250R has with Honda CBR250R, it would be just 30k-70k more than the Hyosung. (At least we think so).
The Ninja 650R will be imported as CKDs from the company’s world’s second largest facility in Thailand and assembled at Bajaj’s facility in Chakan near Pune in Maharashtra, where it already assemble the Ninja 250R. Assembling of the 650R has already begun in the plant. So it is a matter of just 14 more days.
