Mahindra Logan is an underperformer in it’s category.Reasons for Logan’s poor performance may be many.Mahindra Renault know that there is a potential in Logan and they are trying to revive the Logan with launching a new variant by called Logan Play.
Logan Play as name suggests is an upgrade of current Mahindra Logan with many features added for improving the ownership experience.The first and most appealing could be a new body paint scheme with nice graphics on all sides, prominently on both the door panels also Logan Play now comes with a set of attractive red painted alloy wheels.
New Logan Play’s music system is now USB compatible which gives a good feature for those who regularly enjoy music onboard.The central instruments console is now attractively redesigned and the basic colour is black on which red have been blended.Upholstery of the Logan Play to got a red touch which looks great with black background.This includes all seats,steering wheels,floor mats and steering wheels.
Digital Driver Assist System is also part of the offering and will constantly update the driver about major parameters like average speed,fuel reserve.Now Mahindra Logan Play will assist you to park the car even in very complicated parking slots.The rear side of new Logan is beatified by adding a spoiler and embedding the tail pipe into bumper.
But the sad part is Logan Play is available in two engine variants only, one diesel(1.5ltr) and one petrol(1.4ltr).The colour variants available are diamond white and black which limits the choice.

Logan is an underperformer only in terms of its sales and its positioning. Quality wise, I (a Logan user for the past two years) would say that it is one of the toughest sedans around.

Thanks for sharing your views about Logan, We too agree the fact that Logan is a value for money car in it’s segment.Unfortunately our excise duty rule make Mahindra Renault Logan a failure. It says Logan falls in 20% duty category due to it’s dimensions while it’s competitors fall in 8% category.This makes the difference.
By the way we will be happy to hear more from you regarding Logan ownership experience.

Well its all about the dimensions of Logan in the end. The space inside is the USP of the car. My other observations about the car,
Spacious and comfortable. With full load of five fully grown people, one more can easily squeeze. maybe even two.
I have driven cars like Ikon and Indica. i find Logan more powerful comparitively.
The metal on the car is of very good grade.
Even with the AC on 100% all the time, and with full five passengers, there is no discomfort in the drive of the car.
What impressed me most is that even after stretching the car to 130 kmph, it is very very stable and no noise or ratle of any kind can be observed.

Regarding the quality of sheetmetals used in Logan, we believe they are imported sheets.That may be the reason you felt they are superior in quality.This is another reason for making costlier in it’s category.
