Mahindra and Mahindra, who have bought over Renault’s stake in the now defunct Mahindra Renault Pvt Ltd have slashed the prices of its Logan sedan from Rs 24,000 to Rs 80,000 depending on the variant. “The price of the car was cut by Rs 24,000 to 80,000 to provide better value for its customers,” Mahindra said. Mahindra earlier offered discounts of Rs 50,000 on the petrol versions of Logan. Post the reduction, we expect a facelift by Mahindra once the Renault badge is dropped in 18 months time. We even scooped the shortened Logan CS. Read that article here.
The Logan’s prices are yet to be updated on the website and we will bring you the exact prices as soon as we get them. Logan’s monthly sales fell from an average of 2,500 a month to as low as 300-500 in the last few months. Sales never picked up because of the uncertainty over the Mahindra-Renault JV. Now that the Logan has become the sole property of Mahindra and backed by a price cut, we can expect the sales to recover although the Dzire which is currently selling over 7,000 units a month is unstoppable.
