Mahindra Two Wheelers, the two wheeler arm of India’s utility vehicle major Mahindra and Mahindra is all set for full fledge product launches in coming months. Mahindra could successfully launch two power scooters recently and taste their success in scooter segment. Before the launch of Mahindra Duro and Mahindra Rodeo the sales of their other products were dragging. But the picture is becoming colourful after Duro and Rodeo joins Mahindra 2 Wheelers product list.
Mahindra and Mahindra now wants a bigger pie of India’s two wheeler market. Media reports suggest that Mahindra is planning one entry level bike and another performance bike for next year. The first bike, probably SYM Cevalo 125CC will be launched in upcoming New Delhi Auto Expo. The performance bike will follow soon. But there is another version of this story, Mahindra’s Italian subsidiary Engines Engineering will be developing forthcoming two wheelers for Mahindra2wheelers.
But the first option also is also quiet workable. Because previous owner Kinetic Motors had a long term association with the Taiwanese two wheeler major SYM. SYM Cevalo 125 is great combination contemporary styling and features. Cevalo 125 is powered by single cylinder (SOHC) Fuel Injected engine. The engine can develop 15 BHP power peak, this powerful engine is mounted on a simple chassis. If rightly priced (Mahindra can) it will be a definite hit in our market.
Mahindra has set very aggressive market share plans for coming years. They are planning secure 500,000 units sale by 2013, currently they could managed to record approximately 35,000 units. To achieve this target Mahindra’s developing four more products in different product categories. But there is no official confirmation from Mahindra and Mahindra till now.

We were expecting Cevalo launch from Mahindra 2 wheelers in this Auto Expo. That was not happened. Now we are not sure when (if at all they plan) they will launch Cevalo. About scooter launch again Mahindra has not spelled out anything till this moment. So please stay tuned wheelosphere. We will update you as soon as we get hold of any related news.

Thanks for writing to us. Pulsar 135 LS is definitely a great bike in terms of it’s stunning looks and performance figures. Pulsar 13 LS will cost you approximately Rs.52,000 (ex-showroom). It may return a fuel economy of 65km/l, but do remember that fuel efficiency will vary according to riding style and road conditions. The maximum speed of Pulsar 135 is in the range of 110 Km/hr.

Sorry to inform you, there is no plans to launch this bike in India. Atleast Mahindra Two Wheelers has not said anything about this..

@ Samir, Piaggio will be launching Vespa scooter by end of this year or early next year. They will be launching Aprilia RSV4 very soon. So stay tuned for more updates..
