We yesterday informed you all that Maserati will be launching Indian operation today. Maserati launched its luxury car offerings in India today. As we informed you earlier, Shreyans Group is appointed as the official importer of Maserati brand cars in India. Shreyans Group also operates dealerships of German sports car maker Porsche, Italian motorcycle maker Ducati Motor Holding and Ferrari in India.
Maserati has brought in here 3 models, Quattraporte-Sport Sedan, GranTurismo-Roadster, and GranCabrio-Cabriolet. Quattraporte sports a 4.7L V8 petrol engine churning out massive 425-440bhppower.“The growth in luxury car market last year made us confident to enter here in 2011. Today we are very excited to enter India. We will offer the full product range to Indian customers,” the Maserati Asia-Pacific Managing Director, Mr Simone Niccolai said. “We will open our first showroom in Mumbai later this year. The second showroom will be started in New Delhi early next year. We will have presence in seven locations by 2015,” Mr Niccolai said.
The Indian market provides a good opportunity for the company, Mr. Niccolai said. “We are not thinking of targets here for the next two years but we surely see demand for our cars here.” The launch event was held at the National Garage Showroom and the price range of these cars starts from Rs 1.2-Crore and goes upto Rs 1.43-Crore (ex-showroom, Delhi). Maserati plans to sell 25 cars in the first year and make it more than 100 cars by 2015.
The cars will be delivered to the potential customers from July-August 2011. Maserati Quattroporte will be priced at Rs 1.23-1.43 Crore, GranTurismo is priced between Rs 1.2-1.37 Crore and the GranCabrio will be sold for Rs 1.43 Crore. (all ex-showroom, Delhi).
