India’s leading CV manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra today launched their acclaimed Maxximo mini commercial vehicle in Mumbai. Priced at Rs 2.79 lakhs, the truck is squarely aimed at Tata’s Ace which is very common on roads these days. Well, we call this a mini commercial vehicle because the smallest CV ever, the Gio is the micro commercial vehicle.
Mahindra unveiled the Maxximo and its Electric variant at the Auto Expo in New Delhi. The mini truck will roll out of the company’s Chakan plant in Maharashtra and Mahindra provide a free maintenance package for one year. Powering the Maxximo is a 25bhp 8 valves 2 cylinder engine that returns 20km/l. “Excellent fuel efficiency of 20 km per litre, a large loading area and 850 kg payload capacity allows the customer to carry a greater load in a single trip,” the company said in a statement.
The Maxximo will provide some solid competition to the Ace.
