Mercedes Benz – AMG team planning to launch an all electric SLS AMG.This high tech,non polluting electric sports car will raise the bar further for Mercedes-Benz’s competitors.This powerful yet cleaner sports car will be powered by four electric motors.
Electric SLS AMG’s four electric motors together will develop 382Kw at peak and will deliver maximum torque of 880Nm.These electric motors are kept near the wheels that will make drive more easier to transfer and reduction in the weight compared to conventional wheel-hub motor.The all electric SLS AMG is expected to be an all wheel drive model.
SLS-AMG electric version is powered by high voltage Lithium-Ion liquid cooled battery with 40ah capacity.The 400V battery will get recharged during braking while car is being driven.Mercedes Benz is claiming the electric SLS-AMG will take only 4seconds to reach 100Km/Hr from stand still.Sounds promising right? so let us wait and watch how fast Mercedes Benz will charge up and launch this electric sports car.
