Mitsubishi India has not yet confirmed firm launch dates. But we have some bad news for you, Mitsubishi is planning to sell around 100 units per year in India. This is not because of Evo X is a limited edition, but due to heavy pricing. The package of Mitsubishi Evo X may be great but you have to loose wallet strings  too much to own this performance machine from Mitsubishi.

Mitsubishi Evo X  India Engine Specifications and Features

Mitsubishi Evo X  may get  a 2.0ltr turbo charged petrol engine that can  develop 275bhp at peak.Evo X can take from standstill to 100kmph within less than five seconds.Even more powerful FQ version is available in overseas markets, but Mitsubishi may not be bringing this variant to India atleast for now.

Evo X is a pure performance car for those who can not afford a high end product like Porsche. But with Evo-X Mitsubishi is making ordinary man’s performance car dream a reality. The Evo X will be coming with all active wheel control, that can distribute the torque among four wheels according to different driving conditions.A six speed manual gear box, twin clutch will be  part of the offering. The expected pricing Mitsubishi Evo X is Rs.27 to 30lacs.We are sure you may feel that Mitsubishi is putting a heavy price tag,but Evo-X will be a direct import so naturally such a heavy price tag is obvious.Be with us for next round of updates.

  1. IF THIS CAR IS MANUFACTURED IN INDIA IT WIL COST AROUND 13 TO 18 LAKHS . IMPORTING THIS CAR AND PUTTING HEAVY TAG PRICE IS NOT WORTHY .

    • Dear Chaithanya,
You are right. But Mitsubishi is conservative now.First they want to develop decent numbers for Evo X.Once they satisfied with numbers, they may plan to assemble/manufacture Evo-X in India.

    • Dear Chaithanya,
Seems you are a close follower of Mitsubishi Evo X.

You well this car can make other cars existance miserable. But Japanese are known for their play safe game strategy while pricing. We think HM has not much role in pricing decision.By this time you might have noticed the way Japanese and Americans their products.

So we don’t expect Mitsubish Evo X at 13-18lacs range.Sorry for disappointing you.

        • Chaithanya,

Glad to see you are closing monitoring the launch story of Mitsubishi Evo X. Unfortunately in our country a very small bunch of people are interested in performance cars like Evo X. We think HML-Mitsubishi JV is quiet concerned about this and they are delaying the launch of this much awaited Evo X

    • Dear Chaithanya welcome back. This time we have a good news and bad news to share with you. The good news is Mitsubishi will launch Evo X in India by mid of June 2010. The bad news is the price tag will be much higher than current expectations, we believed that Evo will come under Rs.30lacs. But some reports say that price may go above Rs.40lacs. Don’t know how much true it is.

Sorry for replying late, we will be getting Mitsubishi Evo FQ 300 variant. This machine will be powered by a 2.0ltr Turbo Charged Engine. We exactly don’t know when it will come to India. The launch may happen by this month end, again it is a speculated date. The pricing could be around Rs. 45 lacs ex showroom. Hope you are eagerly waiting for this machine.
