Mitsubishi Outlander is a true Sports Utility Vehicle(SUV) from all angle.Mitsubishi had disclosed their plans to expand the portfolio of Outlander.Outlander Plug In variant was made it’s public appearance in last Frankfurt Motorshow.During this year’s Tokyo Autoshow Mitsubishi made another interesting announcement, the arrival of a new crossover based on Outlander platform.
Outlander Sport, the crossover version of Mitsubishi Outlander will make it’s commercial appearance in U.S. by fall of 2010.Japan, Mitsubishi’s home country will receive fist batch of Outlander Sport crossover by 2010 February.The engine will be four pots, 2.0ltr coupled with both front wheel and all wheel drive options.The Outlander crossover concept labelled as Concept cX was shown in 2007 Frankfurt Motorshow.But the production version will have very close relation with Mitsubishi Lancer Sedan.
This could be an interesting development.In India Mitsubishi has got a niche fan crowd, will they get this Outlander Crossover treat in near future?
