mitsubishi-outlander-sport

Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is all set to open a new era. Mitsubishi Motors is planning to launch a unique test drive campaign for their  Outlander Sport in Southern California. Mitsubishi has been roped in 180LA, a well known advertising agency and a pool of robotic experts and software developers to make a virtual test drive program for Outlander Sport.

Mitsubishi Outlander Sport test drive will be possible from home by visiting their  website OutlanderSport.com. The virtual but real test drive of Outlander Sport program will commence from 2nd November onwards. Visitors of the site will get a chance to drive the car remotely on a course  in South California. The driver can control the car virtually  within the boundaries of the course via internet from his/her computer.

As we said earlier it is a beginning of new era. Mitsubishi has chosen a wise combination of technology and creativity to make it happen. The technology behind the scene is simple, Mitsubishi’s  technical support team will monitor each test drives using sophisticated GPS system and will take control automatically if the vehicle go beyond pre-defined boundaries. The same GPS system will help the driver to use various features of Outlander Sport by displaying the features on their screen.

A true piece of innovation from Mitsubishi, let us wait for another week to experience this unique test drive. Will Mitsubishi change the current trend of making multiple visits to dealerships before making purchase decision? let us wait and see..

  1. Mitsuibishi is standing out of the crowd with its 2011 Outlander. Overall i don’t feel so it is a great option. It had plain interiors, steering wheel is not that responsive, and the leg space for the third row is not sufficient.
