Mitsubishi is planning a trimmed down version of all time super hit SUV Pajero in Brazil. The Pajero HD version is primarily intended to attract fleet owners and other corporate offices who use them in bulk. So what is the deal? Mitsubishi has not touch Pajero’s basic features to turn it to Pajero HD. But they deleted almost all luxury and styling features from Pajero. To start with the front bumper of Pajero HD now comes in black colour i.e. without any paint job. The toning exercise did not stop there, Mitsubishi opted for non painted covers for tail lamps, mirrors, door handles and rear bumper as well.
The alloy wheels are now replaced with a set of no frill formed wheels. The roof racks, air foils are also missing from Mitsubishi Pajero HD features list. Mitsubishi has reduced many luxury features from Pajero SUV to make Pajero HD. The centre console is not finished and it lacks much needed elegance.
The steering wheel is newly designed for this Pajero HD. But safety features like dual airbags, power steering and ABS are present in Pajero HD. The engine may be 2.5ltr diesel variant with 121BHP power at peak. The price of Mitsubishi Pajero may fall by $100 so it may prove a good bet for those who use Mitsubishi Pajero as their fleet member.
In India, unfortunately we did not see Mitsubishi in just finished New Delhi Auto Expo. Though we were expecting to have a feel of Mitsubishi Evo X, we could not make it happen. But the launch of Mitsubishi Evo X is postponed yet again. Now we can be just optimistic, that is the only option left. Meanwhile if you are a Mitsubishi Evo X freak, don’t miss our daily updates, so stay subscribed.
