NDTV Car and Bike Show Viewers Choice Award 2009 winners announced yesterday at Mumbai.The NDTV Car and Bike show is one of the premier auto show airing in NDTV group channels.This show have already marked it’s difference since inception in terms of the quality,way of presentation and content.And the credit for this goes to Siddarth Vinayak Patankar, who is the one man army of NDTV Car and Bike Show.Remember all other channels employs a group of anchors to make the same happen.Still NDTV Car and Bike show tops the list.
This year award was dominated by Japanese in general, Honda leading the pack by scoring in car and bike segments.Yamaha also reaffirmed the Japanese dominance by winning two awards.Suprisingly Mahindra Scorpio Micro Hybrid was the only Indian name in Automobile category.

Been a regular watcher of cnb for more than a year.Keep doing the best at this level.I feel you are the right person to putforth my queries on buying a 2 Wheeler bike,
Price range – Rs55000-60000
Mileage : around 60 Kmpl.
Descent styling and looks with good rideability.
Have short listed CBFstunner,SuzukiGS,PassionPlus,CBZ.!Are there any other better options to go for.?Please do get back with your ideas.

Anyway we are happy to help you to choose your dream bike,these are our inputs on your choices,
1.Honda Stunner:- This bike has a basic problem during night riding,the headlamp orientation with handle direction is not inline so it may trouble you you sometimes.Also the pillion rider will complaint about the discomfort.The milage is around 50km/ltr and after sales service is bit tough.Well if look is the first choice you may go for Stunner.
2.Suzuki GSR:- This is relatively new kid in 150CC segment.It got refreshingly new looks and good handling charactarestics.This bike is a nice combination of all features that you look for.So we recommend this bike if you want to be different from the crowd.
3.Hero Honda Passion Plus:- This is the most proven bike in this category.Passion Plus brings all features you need except looks.But this is the most fuel efficient bike in our opinion.So the choice is obvious if you are looking for fuel economy.
4.CBZ:-CBZ is another proven bike from Hero Honda stable.CBZ is a nice combination of sporty looks and fuel economy.The fuel economy is around 50Km/ltr but the style and features will make you satisfied.So you may go for this bike if you are looking for good looks at the cost of mileage.
We know we are making your selection bit tougher,still we would like to suggest you Honda Unicorn.Though it is bit old looking in styling point of view.Unicorn got most refined, smooth engine.It returns decent mileage (55km/ltr) as well.Thus it also make a solid competitor for above mentioned four bikes.
So have your take now, also share your biking experience once you selected your dream machine.
i m planning to buy a Diesel car kindly suggest me between the two. Maruti Swift Dezire & Tata Indigo Manaza or Other in terms of Performance, Maintainance, Average. My budget is between 5Lac to 6.5Lac.

Thanks for stopping at wheelosphere and asking our advice. Our advice is if you are looking for a proven car then go for Swift Dzire and if you would like to get differentiated from the crowd Manza is better choice. Otherwise both the car at par. The maintenance cost of the both the cars is almost in the same bracket and though Dezire got some advantage in fuel efficiency it may vary according to driving style. So we feel you can go for Manza as it is a better value proposition.

I know indigo is value for money & swift dezire is most proven car.
Is Tata indigo manza diesel engine is capable to match the performance of swift dezire ?

The question is really a difficult one now. The engine reliability of both the cars will be at par as they are believed to be from same family. But from other mechanical aspects we will prefer DZire. Other performance parameters of both the cars are comparable so you can opt any one of them. If you are looking for a long term car then the best bet could be Suzuki Dezire because after all Maruti is India’s people car maker.

in terms of performance & value for money for a long term purpose car coz m not a frequent changer.
Mainly for city driving.
