Skoda Auto’s winged arrow is all set to have a make over. Czechoslovakia’s leading automobile blog reports that Skoda Auto’s German owner VW’s top bosses have been approved a new logo. The new logo is looking similar to current winged arrow logo which is being used since 1993. But once we go into details the new logo looks more  appealing, modern, simple  and attractive.

The authenticity of the new Skoda logo story is yet to be verified. If the reports are to be believed, Skoda Auto has communicated to employees about their new logo. After April 2011 all new cars from Skoda will be crowning this new logo and also there is possibility of relocating logo in new vehicles. Interestingly April – 2011 will be twentieth anniversary of  Škoda – Volkswagen joint venture announcement. The blog reports that the new logo will debuting during that special occasion.  By the time of  official unveiling the new Skoda logo may undergo further detailing and fine tuning.

New Skoda Logo Detailed Study

The black ring which sports Skoda Auto has been given way to  VW’s blue ring. It could be a Skoda’s attempt to tell the world that they are a part of VW AG. The winged arrow is still present in new logo. But the colours have been flipped, ie the green arrow in silver background is now transformed to silver arrow in green background. The arrow is now more aerodynamically designed which could symbolizing company’s plans to poise much faster in coming future. Another interesting point to be noted is silver colour  usage in VW, Audi and Skoda logos. The introduction of green colour does not need any further explanation.
