2012 Toyota Camry sedan was earlier caught without camouflages during dealer preview. Now Toyota Motor Corporation has officially unveiled the 7th generation Camry in the US. The US will be first market to receive 2012 Toyota Camry, there dealerships will offer new Toyota Camry from October 2011. The new Toyota Camry comes is exactly similar to out going model. There are many minor cosmetic treatment in the front fascia. But new Camry comes with more distinct shoulder line flowing front the front to all the way to rear.
Toyota will power up new Camry with three different engine options. The first engine is a 4-cylinder 2.5-liter motor that brings 178 hp maximum power. While the second engine is a remapped 3.5-liter V6 power plant that delivers 268 hp @ 6,200 rpm. Both these two engine will have company of a six speed automatic gear box. The third engine option will be 4-cylinder, 2.5-liter Atkinson power unit which will propel Toyota Camry Hybrid. This engine is 30% more efficient than out going model’s 2.4ltr model.
According to Toyota, the new Camry will offer more legroom in both rows. To achieve this engineers repositioned driver seat and accelerator pedal and redesigned back profile of the front row seats.
7th generation Toyota Camry will sport Electric Power Steering (EPS) as well. An interesting gadget, Toyota’s all-new Entune multimedia system (a 6.1” multi-use display), has been included in the infotainment department. Camry is a very important product for Toyota US. This model ruled family sedan segment for many years until Chevrolet Cruze snatched that spot recently. Do you think with improved Camry Toyota will reclaim the title..?
