Toyota’s MPV warrior Innova is getting a facelift in Indonesia. Toyota is selling Innova there under Kijang Innova brand. The first spy shots of the facelifted Toyota Innova is published in SerayaMotor, an Indonesian auto forum where a member filmed the vehicle from body shop and roads. The notable changes are a pair of new headlamp design that extends towards fender (similar to it’s big brother Fortuner) and a new front grille.
Other mechanical elements are appears to be same except a pair of front and rear bumpers. With new front bumper, the fog lamp housing has been restyled. The tail lamps too have a slight change without any change in the overall shape. In short the facelift looks a nice attempt to give a new look to Toyota India’s flagship product.
As of now there is no concrete information about Toyota’s plans to launch the new Innova. As there is no major changes in the facelift, the new Innova may land in Asian markets very soon. About facelifted Innova’s Indian arrival, the current generation Innova was launched in other Asian markets almost an year prior to it’s India launch. Similarly Toyota Kirloskar Motors may bring the new Innova an year later it’s debut in other market.
We know Toyota India is busy in normalizing their production activities and getting ready for another big launch, Toyota Liva scheduled to happen by end of June 2011. We will update you with more information in due course of time.

Posted by Sagar | May 19, 2011, 9:12 pmVery keen to see how they tackle the 3rd row. That one reason made me go for the Tata Grande – no adult makes a fuss to sit in the 3rd row, long drives no issues, foldable & completely removable.
I also do hope they get 2 mobile charger outlets – with the amount of gadgetry available, 1 is far too short.
The music system just NEEDS to have a USB slot – that too is very very basic.
They should also go for TPMS for tyre preassure -got it fixed separately – works like magic and also a NEED for long drives !
