Nissan Micra Nismo concept debut in Tokyo

Nissan Micra Nismo concept made it’s debut at ongoing  Tokyo Auto Salon 2012. Micra Nismo is developed by Nissan in association with their  in house Motorsports division  Nismo and Autotech. The Nissan Micra Nismo concept comes with additional features to make it special compared to normal Micra hatchback. The white painted  Micra Nismo concept runs with less ground clearance and comes with a special-sporty suspension set up. This special Micra runs on a set of light weight alloy wheels, which will further reduce the overall weight of the vehicle.

Though there is no confirmation about future of this concept, the officials are hinting about commercializing Micra Nismo.

“This is still under discussion, but if we get a good reaction at this show we should consider it for production.” says Shinji Sasaki, Chief Designer of Nissan Micra Nismo Concept.

The mass market version of Nissan Micra has been a hit in Global markets. But  Micra is still struggling in our highly competitive hatchback market where 30+ cars are fighting it out. We know Nissan Micra is the best hatchback for roads like ours which are notorious for  bumper to bumper traffic and parking troubles. Do you think Nissan Micra Nismo Concept will ever make it’s appearance in India..? So would you be interested if Nissan India is offering (if at all) Micra Nismo in our market..?
