Nissan Sunny Sedan

Nissan Sunny is propelled by Nissan’s latest HR15DE 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder DOHC petrol engine. This engine develops 99PS of peak power at 6000rpm and 134Nm of  maximum torque at 4000rpm. Nissan claims  Sunny has an ARAI fuel efficiency of 16.95kmpl.

The Sunny XL variant  will have all features of XE Variant plus a passenger airbag, rear air blower/fan, power windows, body colored mirrors, chrome door handles, rear demister, electrically adjustable wing mirrors, central locking, full wheel covers, a 4-speaker stereo system with an Aux-in port but no USB, steering mounted audio controls and keyless entry. The top end Nissan Sunny XV variant also features electric folding outside mirrors, alloy wheels, outside temperature display, push button ignition and front fog lamps.

All models will be available in six colour shades . The base and middle variants will run on a set of  185/70-R14 tyres, while the top end variant will get 185/65-R15 tyres on 15-inch alloy wheels.

Sunny will be rolled out from Nissan’s Oragadam plant near Chennai. Nissan dealers are  already accepting bookings for the Sunny and deliveries are expected to begin by first week of October.

The pricing of Nissan Sunny looks competitive and seems  Nissan has studied the competition’s pricing very well. The entry level  sedan segment has become highly competitive now, let us wait and see how Sunny is going to perform in the market currently ruled by Mahindra Verito, Toyota Etios, Hyundai Verna 1.4, Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire, Ford Fiesta Classic and  SX4.
